Narrator: In a small town off the foothills of Mount Sierra, a young boy ventured forth from the spacious Land of Children into the mighty Mountains of Adulthood. On his journey, he encountered many a foe, battled with weaponry and valor, and conquered almighty demons. Slugging through muddy swamps and hurdling boulders, the young boy grew his hair out, kept his face pleasantly shaven and kept trucking onward from whence he came toward whence he shall go. The boy's body grew. With long hair unkempt, he ate large meals and created huge works of incredible art. When Stan finally reached the threshold from Land to Mountains, the journey became a journey of gladness and triumph. Young Stan leapt the threshold from Child to Adult.
Reaching the great City of the Gods (Placervillympia) Young Stan knew that he had come to the right place. With challices raised, Young Stan's fellows were ready for him, chanting his name, cheering him on, greeting him with wide wide open arms and girth galore.
Young Stan: Friends! Friends! What fine friends! Fellows: Stan! Stan! Welcome Stan!
Narrator: For one night in the month of December, the liminal space between child and adulthood was widened. The hearts of many gathered to celebrate, drink and be merry. (let it be noted: when the forces of Nature are stretched there will always be eddys and reeds plucking about, blurring spaces. With no differentiation, the old become very young, and the young find a new age)
Stan: Friends, twas a night to remember. Fellows: We love you, Stanley.
Awesome evening. Wish we were there, not only to see Stan but to see everyone and all the merrymaking. More days/nights like this must be had soon! Sooner than later. Holidaytimes.
