birthday bash

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOEY!!!

oh what a weekend. i still wanted to write about LAST weekend (matt? i thought you were going to write about our utah/idaho trip?) but anyway, just a quickie blog about joey's birthday. i will write about moving day in a separate blog.

so, we had a pretty huge party. it started out small and grew rapidly as more and more people arrived. we had two cakes, presents, parents, kids, dancing and love. we had emily, brittney, stan, martin, niles, joe, natalia, phil, tim wright, zack, rebecca, sylvan, mikie, darin, jared mingle, rob milo, justin haney...a bunch of bright eyed summer night rapscallions! joey was surrounded by bliss and love on his 21st birthday. he also got some good loot: an external harddrive, a camelbak, books, a painting by emily, the tim and eric dvd set, and something cool that he can do with jarom: a bug-maker! plus other stuff too. dolly came by with a rad yellow shirt she made him. i really wish i got a picture of him in it.

here's mom and sylvan with the cakes:

What a fun party. I really like the monkey hanging from the happy birth sign. Can't help but feel sad that we miss so many wonderful Beatty events. I love you in your dress Heather- is that your new one? Way cute!!

What a sweet little (big) party. Of course we wish we were there. Being distant results in missing out on these big together-times. So much love amongst friends, family, and folk. But it looked great! As always, love the pictures!

I'll be posting soon, I promise.
