joey's birthday surprise number one: the new addition
for joey's birthday, emma got him a newly rescued kitten. she is a perfect angel with a face like a miniature fox baby and a fluffy head with a tiny little bottom half so she looks like an inverted V. she is the sweetest thing on earth - she immediately was comfortable with all the other cats, even if they hiss at her, she just watches everything and plays gently with whatever is around. she can entertain herself for hours with a little piece of ribbon or something, and she loves to cuddle. we are all saying she is the perfect kitten and it is no exaggeration.
at this point we are calling her pompoko.

what an awesome doll-like kitten! I'm jealous. So cute. And cute name too. Have you guys seen Pom Poko? It's such a crazy but cool flick.
i haven't seen it but joey loves it. we thought it might mean raccoon in japanese but i think that it's just a name and the movie is actually about Tanuki which are some kind of japanese raccoon dogs. anyway em really likes the name because she wants to call her "poko" and i want to make my nickname for her "pom pom." either way, so cute. it was either that or lolita which joey really liked, he wanted to call her lola. she is SUCH A GOOD GIRL!
That is the cutest kitten! Can't wait to come see her next month!!
