There's been some news that family camping trip is going to now take place on the 4th of July weekend. Unfortunately that means that myself (and Adrienne?) cannot make it.. so is this finalized and in stone? Should I plan that?
Let's discuss. Those sequoias have been waiting hundreds of years for us and I don't really wanna miss this

i don't know what to say because this year it's really boggling my mind...doesn't seem to be one particular time that everyone can be together. darin and i are fine with pretty much anytime, but we of course naturally want to go with everyone ideally! i know addie can't go the fourth of july weekend, she has a show in grass valley the night of the 2nd. also it will indeed be difficult for both of us to get the whole time off during a holiday at mel's not that it really matters to me, i'm so over it but addie really does't want to piss them off.
i am completely fine with totally rescheduling if that's what it takes. i am also fine with heading out the utah direction a little later so we can be nearer to matt and amy making it easier on them if our camping trip can't happen during their california summer visit. so...that's an option. early fall moab trip? um, grand tetons anyone? i am game for a bigger road trip and with a little love and luck the van might be too. i am into ghost towns and abandoned places as well as beautiful hikes and waterfalls and night swimming and roasting tofu pups and all the other lovely things that await us.
i only know this: we can't let this year slip away. let's make something happen, something when we are ALL TOGETHER and ALL HAVING FUN. that's all that matters friends. hell, i'll go to austin texas. i'll go anywhere, as long as we're all together. i love you all.
We are family ....... Sounds like we need to change dates and places. matt and I can basically only do it the weekend of the 4th out of those two weekends. This may sound bad, but it is not worth it for us to miss that much work for one night of camping because that is all we would be able to do if we change it to the second weekend. I would rather just hang out in Placerville with you all. maybe we could all go rafting that weekend instead and then plan another trip for another time. I have been wanting to do the American river for some years now. But we do need to go to Sequoia. I know Matt and Joey both have bought some books and maps about it and are pretty stoked. I wouldn't mind doing another trip too. Maybe we still could do the 4th there for who ever wants to go and plan another trip towards the end of summer. All just ideas and thoughts.... lets keep them coming.
